Summer is county fair season! We went to a small-town fair recently and had a blast. It was in a town that's home to a store called Bait & Grocery, and is small enough for the newspaper to print the married and maiden names of any women appearing in it, from newlywed to grandma. Love it! Click any picture below to visit the photo gallery and take in some of the sights ...

1. Hi There,
Yes I grew up in the world of the county fair and so did my children. They were in 4-H as I was and did indeed have goats. The fair is a wonderful atmosphere for children to grow and learn with a parents supervision. It also depends on the fair itself. SOme of them have grown to be nothing more than a midway and people selling junk. So far ours is like the one you visited. Yes, we have goats that tag along like puppies after us. We also have sheep that do the same. Bottle raised livestock feel that you are their mothers and follow adoringly or cry for you when you leave them. If you would like to see our fair you can check out the following journal. It is done by the official Photographer. http://journals.aol.com/firewolf2317/Kasodi/
