Here's Waylon, my Wednesday morning training buddy.

He had a visitor over the weekend: his "cousin" Luke. It was their first meeting, and they had a blast together.
Luke is an older guy and he recently had some back surgery, but he was always up for a romp with Waylon, the young whippersnapper. Waylon's person sent me these photos of the two of them in mid smackdown ...

Looks pretty brutal, right?
Intense dog play can look and sound really frightening. If you didn't know the background and saw these photos, you might think that Waylon is about to get his face bitten off!
My guys used to engage in a nightly spar after we finished eating our dinner. It was loud, growly and dramatic, and 100% for our benefit (the more we laughed, the more they went at it!). To the untrained eye, it might have looked like a deathmatch, but the scary growls and "bites" were about as real as a WWF fight: None of the bites actually hit their mark! Each fight had give and take (sometimes Zeke was on top, sometimes Sumner was), and when one of them wanted to take a break and moved away from the "ring," the other dog always honored that request.
Tell us about the raucous dog play in your house ... is it growly? Brazilian jiu-jitsu style? Toy-driven? Mike Tyson-esque? (the boxing and the biting!)
