2. As the proud mother to a Brachy. American Bulldog, I am head over heals for that snout and wrinkels!! The funny sneezes in the rain, the silly sniffing that contorts her head just to get a good whiff, and the ear to ear smile is worth every fold in those cutie chops of hers!

4. Hi! I just love pugs!! I have had 3 and I just them!! My pugs have all been fawn color. They are loyal and very very luvable. Unfortunelatly my first 2 pugs I had to give up. My 3rd pug I got from a breeder who sold her to me for $60 because she was 7 years old and she was not going to use her to breed anymore. Lady was her name and we call her Ladybug. We had her for 4 years, she went camping with us during the summer all the time. She would always stay right with me. Since she was an older dog she was not real active, but when she wanted your attention she would jump up on the couch and sit next to you and put her head on your leg. I had to put her to sleep last year because she got a unterian infectiona and she was pretty bad off. I broke my heart to do it, but she was in pain and that was no way for her to live. She would come and sit in the corner of my side of the bed at night and by the time I got up in the morning she was on my pillow above my head. When ever I was sick she was always right there with me in bed. I really do miss her alot!! I have been told that they are an ugly breed, but I think they are just adorable dogs!!

5. i'm a dog lover and have had a lot of dogs growing up and as an adult i found pugs to be the most loveable, loyal, and the cutest. my two pugs bonnie & clyde have the greatest personalities and are the best dogs ever and i would love to have more pug love in my life!!!!

6. I had a pug for 6 years and miss him terribly! They are very loving and devoted; they truly connect with their people. There is something about the flat face dogs in general that make me smile -- almost a cartoon quality, but when you get down to their good, sweet nature and soul and you are HOOKED!

7. PUGS RULE. Now, if I could only find a man as dedicated, loyal, affectionate, and cute as my Pug, he might rule my world just as much! It hasn't happened yet. Pug owners are a breed apart!

8. Hi I have had many different breeds during my life and I have to say that pugs and bulldogs are the most personable dogs I have ever met.I have 3 pugs and 2 English Bulldogs and 2 French Bulldogs.They have such attitude and sytle.They are truely amazing animals in my opinion.They Rock!;-)

10. I rescued my pug Taffy from an abusive situation, she definitely has a face only a mother can love, but its certainly no reason for anyone to ever abuse an animal!!! I love my baby and am looking forward to foster parenting more of them.

I have 2 pugs One male and one female Buffy and Spike...They're both great dogs..they cheer you up after a bad day at work and always provide great entertainment....LINDA...you gave ladybug a chance and showed her love which I'm sure she didnt have being a dog that was looked at for profit only, dont feel bad about putting her down you gave her the best 4 years of her life

12. I had a beautiful tan and black pug, his name was Squishie! cause of the face of course!! I loved him so much. I wish I still had him, but when my daughter was born he was quite jealious and did his business on my bed. As a single mother I couldn't handle both the baby and the dog so he had to go live with a friend of mine and just recently passed away. I love pugs they are the cutest dogs, to me anyway!

15. pugs are my favorite dogs I have four of them and had four other ones plus I have two boxers and a peke so I guess you could say I love these kinds of dogs

16. my four pugs are such a joy I have three fawn ones and a black one toby is the black one he thinks he is the boss of the group but then I have a female fawn named emma and she puts all of them in there place she thinks she is the queen they are all three years old it is my second group of pugs I lost my other four from old age and sickness pugs are just wonderful dogs that love everybody and every tthing

17. My family use to have a pug that we had since i was about 2 years old, My parents got her for about 20 bucks (a couple was divorcing and the wife sold her to us in a revenge sort've way) and my dad remembers when he brought her home she went running up the stairs sniffing and snorting around the house and she stole my pacifier. He always tells me how she made little noises with the thing before they had to steal it back. Sadly she died about 2-3 years ago before my birthday. I was home alone and seen her laying out in the grass and brought her inside tears and all, and the worst part i think was i was all in tears trying to get get things normal and she wagged her tail before she died. VERY Heartbreaking cause she practically raised me, Onie was always the one to go into my room at night and sniff out any monsters from under my bed, i remember our little battles we had (god i was evil to her i would yank her tail and run like hell to my parents room and hop onto their bed. She was the might foo as my dad called her, cause she was a great dog. Even my grandmother who thought dogs were only pets thought Onie was no ordinary dog, and was considered as a family member.

19. I have a question. My daughter is wanting a Pug badly. She loves the Fawn colored ones. but in reading this column I am curious as to why some people had to put the pugs down at such and early age? To me anything before 10 would be early. I understand about diseases and such but want to know if this is a healthy good breed. How long do they normally live? Is their a specific thing you look for when purchasing or rescuing one? What do you feed them special food? I am just curious because it seems some people have put them down for various reasons and I want to know since all dogs can have problems if they normally live like for how many years and if they need special things? Thanks!

20. doggylover....Type in pug health issues on google and I'm sure youll find a ton of info...they tend to have breathing problems,eye problems,skin problems,hip dspylasia so they do have their share of health issues but with that said they're great little dogs I have 2 a male and female both purchused at pet stores by my mom which generally people will tell you not to do but both buffy and spike are healthy we can see spike has some breathing issues but it doesnt stop him maybe in a few years he may need surgery but for now hes fine..all I can tell you is read everything you can about pugs believe me it will come in handy when and if something happens after you buy one...just read up before you by one...theyre very hyper little things but they do calm down when its time to snuggle.i would recommend this breed for anyone, but you do need to do your homework before you buy one from a store or a breeder...
